Job Description

Raise is hiring a Project Manager - Infrastructure- Level 3 - Telecom for Our Client one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada.

This position is a One (1) year contract located in Burnaby, BC. We are actively seeking talented professionals like you to drive these crucial initiatives forward.

Description

The Project Manager in this role will be responsible for managing a diverse scope of telecom and telecom related infrastructure initiatives within the Telecom Planning team.

Developing project plans and risk management plans for medium to high risk and highly complex infrastructure or other construction projects with a capital cost that is generally up to $50 million for effective management throughout the project lifecycle.

Accountabilities

  • Plan, direct, and report on infrastructure and other construction project activities by consistently monitoring project benefits, resources and status and creating documents such as project plans, action logs, communication plans, status reports and post implementation reviews so that the project is implemented as planned.
  • Develop project plans and risk management plans for medium to high risk and highly complex infrastructure or other construction projects with a capital cost that is generally up to $50 million for effective management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage multiple activities effectively such as quality assurance, engineering, First Nations and stakeholder engagement, communication, regulatory approvals, procurement, planning and controls, construction management, pre-commissioning, employee relations, and safety by using project management principles in monitoring progress and establishing standards for implementation to keep the project within allotted time and budget.
  • Complete project management activities including scoping, planning, managing, monitoring, and reporting on project tasks by using advanced skills in Microsoft Office as well as project management programs to fulfill ’s business needs.
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders including customers, engineers and field crews through regular communication using excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills enabling timely progression of projects.
  • Establish standards for implementation and monitoring using excellent analytical skills and a comprehensive knowledge of project management practices and procedures to optimize project resources.

Required

  • 9 years of project management experience or equivalent with experience develop project plans and risk management plans for medium to high risk and highly complex infrastructure or other construction projects with a capital cost up to $50 million throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Telecom background / experience is preferred
  • Experience with analyzing large sets of data by applying qualitative or quantitative techniques using advanced skills in MS Excel or data analysis software, to support strategic decision making.
  • Experience with Identifying business process efficiencies and opportunities
  • Ability to help managers understand business data and trends, by creating relevant reports and easy-to-use tools that
  • Experience with Scripting (nice to have)
  • Ability to work with a broad set of stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders through regular reporting and communication using excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, enabling timely progression of projects
  • effectively communicate complex information to support strategic decision making.
  • Education and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering, an asset
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation, preferred
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken

Additional Information

  • Location : preference for candidates located in the lower mainland able to work a hybrid schedule of at least 2 days in the office (open to seeing remote candidates but would not be first preference)
  • Every contractor must supply their own Windows 10 or 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
  • Every contractor must supply their own Smart Phone . This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
