Tractor Trailer Driver - Fixed Term at Irving Oil
As a Fixed Term Tractor Trailer Delivery Driver, you will safely and efficiently deliver petroleum products to commercial customers, retail sites, and bulk plants while adhering to all DOT regulations and procedures. You will collaborate and plan daily routes, load the fuel truck efficiently, and conduct thorough pre‑and post‑trip inspections to ensure top‑notch performance and safety. Your goal is to provide a meaningful and essential service to our Irving Oil customers in a safety‑focused environment.

Your Responsibilities
Drive a tractor‑trailer delivery truck while adhering to all DOT regulationsDeliver Irving Oil products to various locations within the required geographic areaCollaborate with dispatch to improve route efficiency, cluster customers, or identify challenging delivery locationsComplete pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, maintaining familiarity with trucks, trailers, tires, pins, lights, etc.Safely load and unload product from storage facilities, following safety policies
Report hazards or unsafe situations that cannot be corrected independently to managerComplete daily shift report and all required paperwork accuratelyMaintain a clean and organized vehicle inside and outsideYour Skills
Good verbal and written communication when working with load builders, dispatchers, and customersBasic mathematical skillsGood judgment and some technical skillsAbility to ensure on‑time product delivery while considering safety and pre‑trip checksStrong safety focusYour Experience
Minimum 2 years commercial transportation (Class 1 or A, with air brakes) experienceValid commercial truck driver’s license with clean driver’s abstractHigh‑school diploma or G.E.D. requiredPrevious experience with liquid loads considered an assetJob Requirements
