We are looking for a Payroll Specialist, who would play a crucial role in managing payroll operations for our diverse workforce across Canada.

This position involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for both salaried and hourly employees, managing employee benefits, and setting up new hires.

Your expertise would be vital in maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while providing exceptional service to our employees.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Payroll Processing : Accurately process payroll for salaried and hourly employees in CAD currency, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
  • Benefits Management : Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, and retirement plans.
  • New Hire Setup : Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including setting up payroll and benefits information.
  • Employee Records : Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and secure.
  • Compliance : Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
  • Reporting : Generate payroll reports and assist with audits as required.
  • Customer Service : Provide exceptional service to employees, addressing payroll-related inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Requirements :

  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, with a focus on Canadian payroll.
  • Currency Expertise : Experience working with CAD currency across various provinces in Canada.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-Oriented : Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of payroll processing.
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
  • Problem-Solving : Ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues efficiently.
  • Team Player : Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
