About the Role

Our public sector client is seeking an Intermediate Trainer for a 6 month, full time contract, with the possibility of up to a 12-month extension, on site in Edmonton, AB. This role is centered on designing and delivering dynamic training solutions that engage learners and meet strategic goals. From developing interactive eLearning modules and visually compelling presentations to crafting concise quick-reference guides and microlearning videos, the Training Analyst ensures each learning asset resonates with its audience.

Utilizing proven adult learning methodologies, such as the ADDIE model, the Trainer-Intermediate position collaborates with subject matter experts to build innovative and practical training programs. They also moderate engaging virtual training sessions and continuously explore new techniques to elevate learner engagement and retention.

In addition to content creation, the Trainer-Intermediate position will manage training logistics such as enrollments and attendance via the internal Learning Management System and provides actionable insights through data visualization tools like PowerBI. Proficiency with eLearning software (such as Articulate 360, Canva Pro, Murf.ai) is required. Strong proficiency with all Microsoft 365 applications (such as Lists, Forms, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel) would be beneficial.

The role requires exceptional organizational, problem-solving and time / project management skills. Experience in large-scale organizations or familiarity with government or procurement processes is an asset. Desktop and monitor will be provided.

Working Hours

Onsite role; Work is scheduled Monday to Friday with start time of 8 : 15 to 4 : 30, including a one hour lunch break from 12 : 00 to 1 : 00 (7.25 hours / day).

• Work Experience - 3 years; Experience as an Instructional Designer or e-learning Developer.
• Duration - Experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders. (3 years)

• Work Experience - 1 year; Exp developing computer-based training using Canva, or Murf.ai

• Duration- Experience developing and delivering training material for the Government of Alberta or similar. (2 years)
• Duration - Experience in a project management role. (3 years)
