EHS Specialist

THE OPPORTUNITY

Thomson Power systems (a Regal Rexnord company) is a leading manufacturer of electrical products and systems for use in the Power Generation Industry for over 40 years. We are currently looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to work closely with our operations and field service leaders; reporting directly to the Sr. EHS Specialist.

The EHS Coordinator will support the development deployment and continuous improvement of programs and systems that support environmental health and safety excellence. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of supporting initiatives to drive a culture of proactivity safety awareness accountability engagement and sustainability through robust programs and processes with the primary goal of ensuring employee safety reducing lost time and liability. This key role will support driving EHS matters to ensure the Company meets or exceeds legislative corporate and industry requirements as well as best practice standards.

YOUR MISSION

Organizational Leadership

• Oversee all aspects of EHS initiatives and reporting for the business (site and field service).
• Manage sustainability efforts to minimize hazardous / non-hazardous waste water emissions air emissions energy consumption and other related environmental compliance activities
• Support the Sr EHS Specialist with delivering on objectives executing plans and daily management activities and implementing corrective actions.
• Drive a learning organization culture to tackle challenging problems.
• Align the business toward both the long- and short-term EHS objectives.
