CNC Programmer

Ideal Candidate

These are the important points for the ideal CNC programmer :

• Mastercam : Expert level, 10+ years working experience
• CNC Programming : Milling : 5-axis Milling Turning : Lathes with live tooling; 10+ years
• Materials : Experienced with tool selection and machining hard materials (300M; 4340), CRES 15-5PH and Aluminum alloys
• CNC Simulation : Experience with Vericut or similar software (preferred)
• CAD software : Intermediate level with SolidEdge (preferred); SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar software; 5+ years
• Fixture Design : Intermediate level of fixture design for machining processes 5+ years
• Industry : Experience in Aerospace (preferred) or Automotive

Description of Work

The CNC Programmer is responsible and accountable for developing and implementing precision machining procedures for machined components and assemblies.

The CNC Programmer is also responsible for improving the processes of producing existing parts and assists in training machine operators regarding precision machining concepts and techniques.

Responsibilities

Develop precision machining procedures for machined components and assemblies. This work encompasses : material selection, operations / routings, set-up instructions, fixtures design, tooling selection, CNC programming, in-process methods of inspection and first article production.

Qualifications

Engineering Technician / Technologist – Mechanical Engineering (Numerical Control). Community College or equivalent working experience equivalent.

Salary Range

$20-40 / hr
