Dollarama in Oshawa, ON is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join their retail team. This is a hands‑on leadership role that supports the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily store operations.
Responsibilities
- Support store operations including opening and closing procedures
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of store associates
- Oversee merchandising and ensure products are properly displayed and replenished
- Manage inventory including receiving shipments and conducting stock counts
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns
- Enforce loss prevention policies and health and safety compliance
- Handle administrative duties including scheduling, cash management, and reporting
Requirements
- Previous retail experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Problem‑solving skills to handle day‑to‑day store challenges
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
