Your work environment at EXP

EXP’s Water Resources Group is currently seeking a Hydraulic Modeler to support surface water projects throughout GTA that involve water resources, project design, and construction services.

The successful candidate will join a growing team of modelers who support land / commercial development, transit drainage, I&I studies, and floodplain mapping clients. The ideal candidate will have some experience with similar project work in the GTA.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Lead the development and application of hydrologic and hydraulic models (., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, MIKE, Info Works).
• Conduct floodplain mapping, risk assessments, and mitigation planning.
• Analyze surface water systems including rivers, streams, and urban drainage networks.
• Interpret and present modeling results to stakeholders, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical excellence across projects.
• Collaborate with GIS specialists, engineers, and planners to integrate modeling with spatial analysis and infrastructure design.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
• Proposal writing and support the team during proposals

The salary range for this role is between $90K - $125K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
