Be our next Water Resources Engineer / Modeler!
EXP’s Water Resources Group is seeking a Water Resources Engineer / Modeler to support projects related to land / commercial development, transit drainage, I&I studies, and floodplain mapping clients.
The ideal candidate will have some experience of similar project work in the GTA.
Your work environment at EXP
- Prepare drainage plans and develop hydrologic and hydraulic models for Municipal, Road, Highway, Rail, Land Development, and Transit projects.
- Participate in stormwater management design including storage systems, LID design, storm sewer design, and hydraulic grade line analysis.
- Provide hydrotechnical input to technical reports and memorandum.
- Developing hydrologic models (HYMO, HEC-HMS) and hydraulic models (HEC-RAS, PC-SWMM, InfoWorks, .
- Experience with Toronto basement flooding projects has been beneficial.
- Produce cost estimates, reports, and technical documents.
- Progress reporting and client liaison.
What your experience looks like
- A Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or similar), or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years modeling experience in HYMO, HEC-RAS, PC-SWMM, InfoWorks.
- Training in specific modeling software packages and their application.
- Experience working in engineering consulting or project consulting firm.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
- Support client liaison, including government departments, local authorities, water and utility companies, and other public bodies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
