TheCorporateController willbe responsible fordirecting and coordinating financial planning and budget management functions inthe assignedregion.This positionwill recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the overall operation, as well asmonitorandanalyzemonthly operating results against budget.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Regional Operations Managers on budget questions, P&Lstatements,and other financial questions in his or her region.
- Prepare percentage of completion (POC) analysis and record monthly revenue recognition and spendingin accordance withcurrent POC accounting rules
- Manage all aspects of inventory costing, reviews, and reporting
- Maintain and report backlog, which includes orders and shipments
- Review P&Ls to ensureaccuratemonthly reporting of revenue andexpenditures
- Analyze data to understand and explain fluctuations in activity
- Support rapid month-end close process (5 business days)
- Review monthly capital expenditure requests andmonitorcapital spending
- Prepare monthly metrics, includingutilizationreports to support operations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
- Prepare or review (if preparation is delegated) reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
- Coordinate with and support Corporate Finance Leadership on year end and other audits (e.g.,compliance, 401K)
- Work on special projects as needed
- Lead financial integration ofacquiredcompanies
- Coordinate regional budget and re-forecasting throughout the year
- Supervises accounting staff (if assigned based on workload in region)regardingperformance management, work product and feedback, coaching, etc.
- Oversee and communicate to team on accounting procedures, and internal controls (implementing, monitoring, enhancing)
- Support Corporate Office when necessary for cash collections, accounts payable, and intercompany transactions
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’sdegree in related field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of experience.Experience with project accounting, including percentage of completion revenue recognitionmethodologyExperience with GAAP, FASB, accrual base accounting, purchase accounting, and tax filing requirements, and their effects upon the companyConsolidations and / or acquisition / integration experience a plusAbility to prepare monthly financial statements, key metric reports, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections and analysisExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSkilled at managing multiple priorities and relationshipsComputer skills : proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus in Excel, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics / GP, and CRMStrong analytical and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentConformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behaviorWho we are!
