Job Description
The Application Engineer, Supply Chain Systems will be responsible for understanding both the business and technical aspects of applications specific to merchandising, product creation, planning, manufacturing, distribution, and trade and logistics operations.
As part of a broader team, they will focus their skills on improving the quality of services provided by the Enterprise Applications and Platforms, working with product owners and other business teams to design, implement, and extend existing features or products.
The Application Engineer will work closely with architects to plan new software and enable the creation of agile and scalable applications as business needs evolve.
What You'll Do :
- Design and improve software, aligned with the strategic direction of the organization.
- Work as a bridge between business partners and engineering teams.
- Solve and recommend solutions for complex scenarios and issues within an agile or waterfall project structure.
- Provide guidance and input to sequencing within the technology roadmap.
- Configure new application features and deprecate existing features as needed.
- Develop and implement enhancements for existing applications and platforms.
- Maintain an expert level of application knowledge with each upgrade or new application implementation.
- Lead the creation and review of all technical documentation.
- Create and manage production deployment plans.
- Plan for and align application security models according to best practices and license efficiency.
- Interact with the user community to solve problems, augment system functionality, and improve the user experience.
- Develop test case scenarios for QA and UAT.
- Other duties as assigned.
Let's Talk About You :
- University Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related fields.
- 3-5+ years of experience as a technology expert, implementing PLM or Supply Chain Solutions across various Enterprise Applications platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Dynamic 365 ERP, PLM, and EDI is an asset.
- Experience working with agile / scrum methodologies
- Minimum of 2 full system implementations in a manufacturing or retail operation
- 5+ years experience in D365 Supply Chain and certification is required
- Certification such as CBAP, PMI-BAP, or accompanying certification MSFT, Azure, Cloud, services are also an asset
- Supply Chain or Change Management certification is an asset
