We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Finance to join our team.
The Director of Finance will be responsible for leading our financial operations and driving financial strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management, strategic planning, and team leadership.
This role requires a proactive leader who can collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide insights that support the company’s growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Strategy & Planning :
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to the executive team to support decision-making.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance :
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
- Manage audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Cash Flow Management :
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure the company’s financial health.
- Develop strategies to optimize cash management and investment opportunities.
- Team Leadership :
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance their skills and performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the finance department.
- Risk Management :
- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure the company has appropriate insurance coverage and financial controls in place.
- Stakeholder Engagement :
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive operational efficiency and profitability.
- Present financial information and strategic recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, ASPE accounting principles, and financial reporting standards specific to the construction industry.
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Experience with Jonas Premier construction software.
Other Experience :
CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
Salary : $160,000 per year based on experience and suitability with bonus opportunities.
