Warehouse Supervisor at Wajax
Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor manages day‑to‑day warehouse operations, supervising staff to ensure inventory and shipping / receiving functions operate at optimum levels and continuously improve. The role implements and manages processes and policies to maximize customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor Health and Safety programs to achieve “Everyone Home Safe” initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment and properly maintain assets for daily operations.
- Optimize shipping and receiving activities to meet business requirements with hands‑on involvement.
- Supervise inventory integrity, turns, obsolescence, shrink, and handling to meet standards, targets and KPIs.
- Ensure branch inventory, delivery and handling requirements are met and follow exception and service‑failure communication and resolution protocols.
- Physically perform and assist with all shipping / receiving, put‑away, pick, pack operations as needed.
- Guide safe behaviours and process implementation to eliminate bottlenecks throughout the DC : Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Packing, QC, Shipping, Inventory.
- Lead or participate in inventory integrity and count activities.
- Assist internal and external customers with deliveries or shipments as required.
- Operate and drive forklifts, pallet jacks, etc., as certified.
- Perform equipment safety checks, report findings, and meet certification requirements.
Candidate Requirements
Education : Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent; diploma in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.Work Experience : 2+ years in a warehouse environment; prior experience in a supply‑chain environment required.Knowledge : Bilingual (English and French); strong understanding of warehouse best practices, industrial goods, equipment; lean and continuous improvement experience is an asset.Proficiency : Intermediate level in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Microsoft Access knowledge is an asset.Company
