Quality Control Engineer (Precast / Infrastructure Manufacturing)
Full-Time | Permanent | $80,000–$100,000 + Strong Benefits

What you’ll be doing
Project & Product Quality Oversight
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to define inspection and testing requirements
- Develop and maintain project-specific Quality Control Plans, inspection schedules, and documentation
- Integrate quality milestones into production and project timelines
- Conduct quality reviews at critical hold points across manufacturing
- Ensure full traceability of materials, inspections, and test results
- Prepare, sign, and seal Certificates of Conformance (QVE responsibilities)
- Review precast and production quality reports
Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement
Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Management SystemsManage NCRs, corrective actions, and root cause analysisCollaborate with plant leadership to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measuresTrack quality metrics and prepare reports for leadership reviewCollaboration & Training
Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to support daily productionAssist in developing SOPs and work instructionsSupport training initiatives for QC staffFoster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvementCompliance & External Coordination
Support compliance with CSA, AWWA, NSF-61, CPCQA, BNQ, OPSS, and Schedule A requirementsAssist with audits, certifications, and third-party inspectionsLiaise with clients, consultants, and inspection agencies on technical mattersWhat we’re looking for
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineeringP.Eng. designation3+ years of Quality Control experience within precast or concrete manufacturingStrong working knowledge of CSA A23.1 / 2, CSA A23.4, OPSS standardsHands-on experience with concrete QC testing (AVS, RCP, salt scaling, compressive strength, flexural beams, etc.)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication detailsStrong documentation, reporting, and organizational skillsConfident communicator who collaborates well across technical and production teamsWhy people stay
