This organization is an industry leader within the energy sector. We are seeking a senior accountant immediately for a 3-6 month, full-time contract with the potential to extend.
You will be working 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday. There is also flexibility to work on a hybrid basis.
Your new role
You will primarily be responsible for performing accounting and analytical review functions in the areas of financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and related analysis
- Assist in the preparation and analysis functions of the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements and management reporting requirements
- Liaise with external auditors inpleting audit requests
- Assist in the design, review, and evaluation of internal controls
- Administer and perform control over the financial reporting processes
- Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations by analyzing past results, identifying trends, and key drivers of business
- Increase productivity by developing or improving automated reporting tools / models
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree with a major in Accounting or Finance plus 3+ years of related accounting experience
- Professional Accounting designation (CPA) or similar designation is required
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and procedures for US GAAP
- Strong verbal and writtenmunication skills
- Due to the urgent hiring need for this role, you will be able to start working immediately

In return for your skills and expertise, there is apetitive hourly pay. You will work full-time hours, Monday-Friday. This is a 3-month contract with the potential to extend.
