Effortless Admin is revolutionizing the employee benefits industry with our cutting-edge software. As we rapidly expand, we're seeking a talented accountant to join our dynamic team at College Plaza in Edmonton.

The Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented accountant who thrives on accuracy and process improvement. You'll play a crucial role in managing our financial operations, with particular emphasis on complex reconciliations across multiple systems and insurance carriers. Overseeing two bookkeepers, you'll ensure consistency and precision in our accounting functions.

What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, journal entries, and trust accounting
• Perform complex reconciliations across multiple insurance carriers and internal systems
• Conduct inter-system data reconciliation and billing verification
• Handle fixed asset management and month-end closing processes
• Prepare financial reports and conduct analysis to inform business decisions
• Prepare and file year-end statements, GST returns, and T4s

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of post-secondary accounting education, with ongoing professional development
• 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience required
• CPA designation is an asset, but not required
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with multi-entity accounting or insurance industry is an asset

• In-office at College Plaza, Edmonton
• Monday to Friday, standard business hours
