PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Provides analytical, technical, and administrative assistance in the implementation and maintenance of job evaluation policies, programs, and systems for the University of Windsor’s unionized and non-unionized employee groups.

Provides assistance to management, Human Resource Business Partners (HRBP), and subsequent faculty and staff in the interpretation of job evaluation and compensation policies and practices, as well as in the resolution of related issues.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :

The successful candidate will have :

  • College Diploma or University degree in a related field (Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field) and / or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Two (2) years of administrative experience, preferably within a Human Resources Department, including experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with job evaluation principles and processes.
  • Successful experience in management multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with limited resources and shifting priorities.
  • Strong time management, and organization skills with a process improvement mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation, collective agreements, employment contracts and other technical documents.
  • Honed strategic and critical thinking skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment, analyze and interpret data and present information in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral, with the ability to handle matters requiring a high level of diplomacy, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated commitment for promoting and imbedding Indigenization, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in the delivery of strategic human resource services.
  • Ability to work effectively as a cross-functional team member.
  • Advanced computer software proficiency utilizing Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manipulate spreadsheets and merge Work and Excel documents and experience with HRIS database applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Achievement or actively working towards professional designation in human resources (CHRP / CHRL).
  • Related work experience in a public sector, post-secondary institution, and / or unionized environment.

FLEXIBLE WORK ARRANGEMENTS :

This position requires the incumbent to work on-campus in Windsor, ON. An opportunity for some remote work may be approved within the Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) guidelines at the University of Windsor.

SALARY RANGE :
