The Opportunity
Working closely with both our editorial and business development teams, the Content Producer is primarily responsible for managing the ideation and execution of commercial content campaigns for our corporate partners.
Reporting to the Managing Editor, Canadian Family Offices, the Producer will be an internal leader and external champion for compelling content marketing and strategy, with strong digital capabilities and skills as a journalist.
What You'll Do
- Develop content ideas that drive brand goals and engagement for our clients.
- Work closely with the Product, Ad Operations and Account teams, writers and clients in the creative and content production process.
- Prepare creative outlines and production schedules for each execution.
- Project manage content executions on multiple platforms, maintaining high standards of quality control and ensuring process adherence.
- Assign and oversee the work of content creators and coordinate production.
- Edit content for accuracy, style and SEO.
- Manage and grow our network of content creators.
- Work with Ad Operations to establish content amplification strategies using a variety of organic and paid channels.
- Establish best practices to optimize both qualitative and quantitative aspects of content performance by leveraging a variety of analytics platforms.
- Assist sales teams in pitching commercial content initiatives to clients.
- Work with internal teams to support and maintain strong client relationships and strategically develop new relationships.
- Work with internal teams on product innovation.
Who you are :
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Business or an equivalent.
- Outstanding command of written and spoken English.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with demonstrated experience adapting messaging to different channels while supporting brand goals.
- Experience in covering financial markets, investing, and / or business.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multichannel content creation and / or digital marketing, with a track record of producing creative, outside-the-box content executions that resonate with readers / users.
- Strong presentation skills, including the ability to pitch content products / offerings to new and current clients.
- Strong knowledge of best practices and trends within the content marketing industry, including audience metrics and social amplification techniques.
- Excellent client service skills, ability to deliver client and stakeholder satisfaction in measurable ways.
- Experience managing editorial calendars and multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.
- Proficiency in all major business software applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel); working knowledge of SEO and WordPress is an asset.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work well under pressure; a motivated team player and self-starter with a strong desire to compete and succeed.
- Experience managing a team of content producers and freelancers is an asset.
- Knowledge of project management techniques is an asset.
