Specialized Caregiver Supports

Summary:

Axis Family Resources Ltd. is hiring Specialized Caregiver Supports to support children, youth, and/or adults living in our Specialized Supportive Housing in Revelstoke, BC. Building and maintaining healthy relationships with our Persons Served through a trauma-informed practice is the core of our work. You will promote a positive and healthy environment that supports our persons served towards achieving educational, social, and recreational goals while focusing on daily life skills development. Qualifications & Requirements:

• A certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or other related discipline
• 1 – 2 years’ experience in social services
• Related experience in working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges is an asset
• Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver’s license
• Knowledge of and the ability to work with complex trauma, Impulsive behavior, FASD, Suicide Intervention and other neurobiological conditions is required.
• Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
• Effective written and verbal communication
