Our manufacturing client is looking for their next Controller to join their team. Their head office is in Guelph with a few other locations across Ontario and this person will have the flexibility to work a hybrid model.
The Controller will manage the accounting department, be involved in improving internal controls and be a key member in developing financial strategies.
Please note : this position requires you to be in Ontario and in the local area, as this is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities :
- Manage the accounting department, including payroll
- Lead the annual budget process and monitor performance throughout the year (analyze financial statements and forecasts, etc)
- Responsible for reporting on monthly results, including variance analysis and more
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in financial reporting.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and ERP system
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with other departments to support strategic planning and operational efficiency
- Develop and implement internal controls
Qualifications :
- CPA preferred or enrolled in
- Solid financial and costing background
- Manufacturing industry experience
