Overview
The Technology Support and Operations Division employs a government-wide approach to Information Management and Technology (IMT) governance. By integrating data sharing, collaboration and innovation, we provide effective IMT solutions that improve services for Albertans. The Ministry of Technology & Innovation drives Alberta’s economic growth through digital transformation, embracing new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to deliver smarter, faster services.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and databases that power collaboration and content services.
- Analyze requirements and consult with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet GoA standards and best practices.
- Enhance and support systems architecture, configuration and maintenance for Electronic Information Management (EIM).
- Provide technical expertise across multiple projects while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Ensure seamless delivery of 24 / 7 services for Alberta’s critical information systems.
Strong interest or experience in Artificial Intelligence is an asset, as AI can automate workflows and improve data insights.

Required :
University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.2+ years of experience supporting the design, development and maintenance of EIM.Equivalencies :
2‑year diploma and 4 years experience.1‑year certificate and 5 years experience.Assets :
Knowledge of OpenText Content Server 23.x‑25.x and related administration.Experience with OpenText Content Server web services, workflow, and LAPI development.Experience configuring Brava, Blazon and other add‑ons in Enterprise environments.Knowledge of extensions such as Extended ECM, Spider, XML Workflow, Electronic Signatures, Active View, Object Importer, Content Intelligence, WebReports, CLM Services for SharePoint, Blazon and Brava.Knowledge of Oracle UCM, Documentum and associated extensions.Knowledge of Kofax Capture Server, Adlib Server and Content Aviator extensions.Experience with MSSQL 2016‑2022 and related utilities.Ability to develop and debug code in PowerShell, Batch, C#, VB Script, MS SQL, ASP.NET MVC and Entity Framework.Strong willingness to learn emerging AI technologies.Employment Terms
Term : Permanent full‑time.
Hours : 36.25 hrs per week (Mon‑Fri).
Location : Remote across Alberta – candidate must reside in Alberta.
