Your Role and Its Impact

The IT Procurement Clerk will be responsible for the delivery of Procurement services to clients within the NS Government / Nova Scotia Health and the IWK.

In more detail, the Clerk will :

  • Process client requests to purchase hardware and software
  • Work with Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements
  • Perform various administrative assignments
  • Deliver IT Tier 1 support in procurement services
  • Problem solving and solutions
  • Process IT Procurement Invoices
  • Process IT Procurement Purchase Orders
  • Reconcile financial billing statements
  • Update ticket system and database
  • Work with automated procurement systems and tools
  • Manage and resolve escalations pertaining to the procurement and delivery of IT hardware and software.
  • Work with software license management
  • Work independently and as a team member,
  • Work with senior leadership and executives on Service Excellence Requests
  • Work with vendors to build relationships
  • To work in a high pressure and fast paced environment with the ability to multitask and to meet strict deadlines.
  • Timely resolution to procurement and billing inquiries

To be Successful, You Have

Proven experience to bring to the role of the IT Procurement Clerk, to provide service excellence to clients in the NS Government and Nova Scotia Health / IWK;

you are passionate about working in IT Procurement and with IT Vendors.

You are experienced in IT technology and understand current technology trends. You have experience in procurement services such as purchasing goods, billing, analyzing, and problem solving.

  • Ability to communicate and ensure the client is well-informed of the necessary steps to resolve their issues.
  • Demonstrate the ability to schedule tasks and priorities, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, recommend and implement solutions.
  • Promote and maintain a professional and positive attitude between the different teams during times of pressure.
  • Knowledge of software such as FileNet, Assyst, SAP, Adobe, Excel, Outlook Email, Ticketing tools.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes
  • Knowledge of IT Asset Management including IT Hardware & Software

Education & Experience

To be successful in this position, you have High School diploma as well as four (4) years of experience where. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable.

We will assess the qualifications using one or more of the following tools : written test, oral presentation, interview, and reference checks.

Additional Information

This is a TERM employment opportunity for 1 Year . The appointment status ( term’, temporary’ or casual’) is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.
