One of our top partners in the Electric Vehicle space is preparing to build a facility that will be a crucial part of Canada’s Electric Vehicle (EV) supply chain in Kingston area.

Our client is looking for a Production Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising the production team for precursor cathode active materials or cathode active materials focusing on efficiency, productivity, quality, safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop SOPs and training materials for commissioning of new process equipment and full operation.
  • Supervise shift leaders and coordinate production activities across all shifts.
  • Monitor and enhance KPIs related to production, and coordinate maintenance work with Asset Management team to prevent production deviations.
  • Focus on optimal Equipment Efficiency and minimize production downtime.
  • Collaborate with team for high production performance, product quality, and improvement in processes focusing on cost-saving.
  • Ensure production complies with all procedures, quality and EHS guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years operation experience in Manufacturing plant.
  • Knowledge of different processes like precipitation, dissolution, filtration, dry powder handling.
  • Understanding and knowledge of battery materials processes is an asset.
  • Knowledge of operations management like planning, production systems, 5S, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Advance MS Office Suite skills
  • Knowledge of Quality and Safety Management Systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14000, OSHAS 18001)
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • A self-starter with an ability to work independently and in teams committed to achieve results.
  • Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
