JOB SUMMARY

Your role will be to plan and define timelines and resources needed for new and existing projects. You will be integral in helping the supervising director with managing multiple activities and projects effectively by using project management tools and principles to keep the projects within allotted time and budget.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential functions listed below are representative of the functions that must be performed in order to satisfactorily fulfill the purpose of this job.

  • Track and review performance metrics and help with proposing mitigation plans if not on target.
  • Develop operational policies and procedures.
  • Establish standards for implementation and monitoring using excellent analytical skills and a comprehensive knowledge of project management practices and procedures to optimize project resources.
  • Contribute to a strong team environment through assisting teammates in accomplishing mutual goals, supporting the overall positive team culture of the organization.
  • Track and follow-up on material and equipment procurement projects.
  • Communicate schedule considerations, deliverables, and needs to the supervising director.
  • Prepare, present, and monitor weekly and monthly status report of R&D operation activities.
  • Effectively communicate with supervising director and other technical managers to enable progress.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and / or abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences or Engineering
  • 5+ years project management of R&D or engineering projects and related fields
  • Familiar with basic project management tools (Excel, MS Project etc.)

Preferred qualifications :

10+ years of project management for high growth, high tech R&D companies

Environment : Work is performed primarily in a standard office / warehouse / lab environment. Employees may work under the stress of regular interdepartmental interaction and pressure to meet various deadlines.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and / or sit for prolonged periods of time;
  • must be able to hear and verbally communicate in order to exchange information in person or over the phone; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach and twist;
  • to lift, carry, push and / or pull up to 25 pounds of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement;

to occasionally travel to other locations using various modes of private or commercial transportation.
