Casual Crossing Guard
CASUAL CROSSING GUARD TheBurnaby School District is looking to hire CasualCrossing Guards to work throughout the school district on an on-call basis.
You have an ability to build trust and respectwith those under your care, and you model and reinforce proper behaviour andadherence to safety rules.
This positionis responsible for providing support for students arriving / departing fromschool.Applicantsmust have : · Grade 12 education· Demonstrated ability and experience in workingwith children and / or adolescents· Excellent communication and interpersonalskills· Conflict resolution or non-violent crisisintervention training are assets This position requires that you are physicallyable to work outdoors in all weather conditions and can stand / walk around for aone-hour shift.
The ability to buildsuccessful relationships, influence behaviour, and avert or resolve conflictthanks to your experience either raising or working with children are also keytraits required for this position.
