Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President, Corporate Services, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) provides leadership in developing strategy and execution of that strategy as it relates to technology systems, policy and processes across the institution.

As a member of the senior leadership team the CIO participates in setting the strategy within the Corporate Services division.

The CIO will establish a unified IT strategy and delivery model across the divisions with a focus on leadership, governance and leading-edge outcomes while understanding and managing organizational risk as it relates to technology threats.

The CIO will work closely with leaders across the institution to advance the role of IT services in supporting technological influences on teaching and learning, classroom technology and efficiency in operations.

As the ideal candidate will you bring 10 to 15 years’ experience in information technology management with demonstrated capability in IT strategic planning, organizational design and development, coupled with 10 years’ experience in leadership in a large complex organization, developing department practices and policies and risk management, ideally in a post-secondary setting.

A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other advanced degree in a related discipline is required.

Certification in related fields such as project management, enterprise architecture and change management is ideal.
