Account Executive, Medical Surgical

Join a global leader in medical technology selling an innovative portfolio of technology products and solutions to surgeons in every surgical specialty, with multiple call points and departments in hospitals throughout Southern Ontario.
In this Toronto based sales role, your mandate is to drive territory growth, achieve sales targets, and increase market share in several specialty areas to gain greater depth within your portfolio.
You will drive innovative sales and marketing strategies and collaborate with managers, marketing, and customers in the design of new solutions and offerings.
Additionally, you will build strong ties with key customers and key accounts and be proactive in understanding the trends and issues impacting your market;
and develop winning strategies for sales proposals based around providing value while maintaining or increasing gross margins.
- Always go the extra mile to drive territory sales and overall commercial performance strive to exceed monthly and annual targets and goals.
- Lead the promotion, sales, and customer education for a large portfolio of highly technical OR and surgical products with your territory.
- Build strong relationships with physicians, nurses, biomedical engineers and other key individuals within hospitals and surgical facilities.
- Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved by assessing customer needs and providing assistance and information on products and solutions and delivering excellent service.
- Quote products and maintenance programs to customers within pricing guidelines.
- Successfully complete all technical product training and education programs and develop a high degree of knowledge regarding all product lines, selling features and competitive advantages.
Qualified candidates must possess a university degree and hospital-based medical technology sales experience with a highly consultative sales style that prioritizes relationships and open dialogue to identify and provide solutions to customer’s needs.
Medical industry knowledge is important with a solid understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, needs in healthcare, purchasing process, experience with RFP’s.
Compensation includes a salary of $80K, plus uncapped commissions with total income potential of $200K+, car allowance, travel expenses, and company health benefits plan.
