Job Type : Term PositionOur client is looking for a Project Coordinator based in Saint John, New Brunswick, to assist in various administrative and technical aspects of the coordinating and HR base resources. They execute Industrial Rescue and Safety services throughout New Brunswick. By joining the team, you'll be part of some of the largest Shut Down Projects in Saint John. Job Summary : The Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This individual will work closely with the Job Planner(s) to assist in the coordination and execution of project tasks, manage communication between teams, track progress, and troubleshoot challenges as they arise. The Project Coordinator is instrumental in creating project timelines, ensuring that teams are on track with deliverables, and maintaining smooth project operations across various workspaces. Schedule and Pay :
- Monday to Friday
- 8am – 4 : 30pm (some weeks could have to up 60 hours)
- $25 an hour
Key Responsibilities :
Assist with project planning, scheduling, time tracking and coordination to ensure timelines, milestones, and deliverables are metTrack project progress, identify risks or delays, and support mitigation effortsMaintain accurate, organized project documentation and prepare Field Tickets for stakeholdersCommunicate project updates, risks, and issues to internal and external stakeholdersSupport the Project Manager with scheduling, task tracking, and day-to-day administrative needsCoordinate with cross-functional team members, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment and smooth executionProactively identify and help resolve project issues and roadblocksSupport overall workflow and remove obstacles to keep projects moving forwardSupport Forepersons in the field.Conduct interviews, new employee onboarding and orientation sessionsAssist with recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting interviewsCoordinate employee training and orientation programsSkills & Qualifications :
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skillsAdaptable to changing priorities and project timelinesProficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project)Strong in Microsoft Office, problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder communication skillsExperience Preferences : The following experience is preferred for this role :
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a project coordination or similar role, preferably in the construction industry.Experience in administrative or assistant roles (e.g., Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant) may be considered, particularly if accompanied by relevant certifications or project management experience.Familiarity with construction project workflows, team dynamics, and risk management processes is a plus.Education & Certifications :
A Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM, or similar) is highly preferred and would be considered an asset.Candidates with a master’s degree in a relevant field may be considered favorably.Ability to work in both office and on-site environments as needed.Some travel may be required to visit construction sites or meet with stakeholders.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.Our team is eager to connect with candidates who meet the job requirements.
