QA Automation Engineer

Optix is looking for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to design, build, and own a modern, automated QA practice as we evolve from a rules-based automation platform into a leading conversational, agentic workspace management system.

You’ll establish the processes, tooling, and automation frameworks that ensure our platform remains stable, scalable, and reliable, especially as AI-powered features become core to our product. Working closely with our product team, you will develop automated testing systems, build AI-assisted QA workflows, and directly contribute to issue resolution when bugs arise.

This is a rare opportunity to create a QA discipline from the ground up inside a profitable, proven SaaS company. You will shape how we test and validate software, particularly AI features, while collaborating with experienced AI leaders who will help you sharpen your testing, automation, and AI evaluation capabilities.

If you have 5+ years of experience in software Quality Assurance, and you’re excited by the opportunity to build a QA function from the ground up inside a fast-growing, product-driven company, we’d love to meet you.

Must Haves

• 5+ years of experience in software QA, with a strong focus on test automation
• Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining automated test suites (unit, API, integration, and E2E)
• Experience with PHP / Laravel is required
• Experience with modern Javascript frameworks like Vue, React and Angular
• Solid understanding of REST / GraphQL API testing and integration patterns
• Experience working with CI / CD systems and incorporating automated testing into deployment pipelines
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adopt modern testing approaches
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systems-thinking mindset
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain test strategies and results clearly to both technical and non-technical team members
