Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Consultant, Data Analytics & Reporting job is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing complex datasets to generate actionable insights and building detailed reports and dashboards using specific tools. With minimal supervision, this job collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity, performs data and statistical analysis using various programming languages, and presents data findings to partners to meet business objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Captures, processes, prepares, and analyzes complex datasets to extract significant insights and develop automated reporting systems.
- Builds detailed reports and dashboards, designs and implements data visualizations to communicate complex data clearly.
- Performs statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data using statistical software and programming languages.
- Identifies opportunities to improve data collection and reporting processes and implements standard methodologies for data management and reporting.
- Works closely with cross‑functional teams to understand data needs and delivers solutions in partnership with digital technology and data engineering teams.
- Coaches and advises to mature data consumption and analytics capabilities.
- Conducts complex data analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights for decision making.
- Ensures the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across all reports and analyses.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, typically 5 years or more.Experience translating complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders with varying technical aptitude.Proficiency with SQL and understanding of relational data models.Programming experience, preferably Python.Proficiency with data visualization software (PowerBI or Tableau).Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP).Experience with SAP and Salesforce.Additional Details
Location : MN-Wayzata (Hybrid) or CAN-Calgary (Remote); relocation assistance not provided for this role.The business will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.Expected salary $110,000‑$130,000 USD.
