GTIL’s role is to lead and communicate the network strategy; to drive strategy execution by convening and supporting member firms;
and to track and report on progress.
The role of the Events engagement and collaboration team is to support an international network culture of collaboration and trust by intentionally shaping the future workplace.
The Manager, events engagement and collaboration, is responsible for providing technical support and overall event advice to stakeholders, to ensure the highest quality of delegate experience, before, during and after the events.
They always consider new thinking and approaches to build the network culture in a virtual world
Please note that this is a global role in a virtual working environment with the ability to travel internationally.
Main Responsibilities
Event management and support
- Provide end-to-end delivery of virtual events present slides and videos during events, running polls and managing breakout discussion groups, ensuring all elements run smoothly
- Provide end-to-end delivery of face-to-face events venue search and selection, event logistics; accommodation, F&B, evening events, managing suppliers, arrange AV equipment, on the ground event support.
- Liaise with stakeholders regarding delivery and support of their meetings and work in collaboration with them / their team for each meeting / event
- Provide support on content delivery - eg suggest ideas for interactivity and manage these during the event
- Communications work with stakeholders to design and manage invites, take responsibility for registration tracking and follow up.
- Gather feedback following the event and present feedback to meeting / event owner as needed
- Schedule rehearsals and brief speakers with pre-prepared content as appropriate
General
- Manage best practice guidance and templates
- Keep up to date with changes to our technology and keep stakeholders informed
- Ensure event master tracker is updated post event
- Update intranet event site with new and revised information
- Carry out project management of, and / or support across other projects as and when required
- Research industry events and provide recommendations on how to optimise client experiences

Person Specification
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Good standard of spoken and written English is essential
- Able to identify challenges and develop recommendations for improvement
Experience - essential
- Extensive event management experience, including logistics / operations and contracting with vendors and suppliers
- Proven experience managing successful virtual events with consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Proven ability to handle and implement multiple projects / events with different stakeholders with immovable deadlines
- Knowledge and experience with running events via Microsoft Teams
- Previous experience using event software / CMS
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders from different cultures across global time zones
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in a high-pressure virtual environment
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Proven ability to build relationships at senior levels
Experience - desirable
Multi-lingual in addition to English
