The role we are offering you :
Based in Montréal and reporting to the Director, Global Compensation and Benefits, the Global Mobility Manager manages the Global Mobility department to identify and anticipate the company’s main international mobility issues by working in conjunction with the different strategic stakeholders.
The Global Mobility Manager also ensures that international mobility policies and processes are followed by all business units throughout the world, to ensure compliance with various regulations and alignment with the global talent strategy.
Essential duties and responsibilities :
Partner with senior leadership of all business units to integrate mobility practices into company’ overall talent management strategy.
Develop and implement flexible global mobility policies based on best market practices and global regulations that support the company’s business needs.
Ensure compliance with tax regulation, social security and immigration matters associated with international assignments, transfers, and frequent business travelers.
Partner with internal stakeholders and externals providers (Payroll, Benefits, International Compensation, tax, etc.) to ensure the operationalization of all Global Mobility processes.
Advocate alignment with legal compliance practices related to Global Mobility policies, evaluate the potential financial risks of certain international assignments and respond to enquires from government authorities when required.
Define the roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders, define mobility processes and implement a suitable global mobility management model.
Put in place robust databases and define the management tools required to properly monitors all files.
Put in place communication tools within the company to ensure that roles and responsibilities of the Global Mobility department is known across the company.
Select, manage and evaluate service providers (immigration, taxation, relocation services, medical coverage).
Monitor the overall satisfaction of expatriates and CAE internal clients with regards to global mobility services offer.
Lead a team of advisors, specialized in Global Mobility.
Qualifications and skills :
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline (Human Resources, Taxation, Management)
More than 12 years experience in Global Mobility and or immigration
3-5 years of experience in a management position
Solid knowledge of global mobility issues (taxation, payroll, social security, immigration)
Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills (bilingual French and English).
Strong business strategy skills
Ability to easily develop and maintain good working relationships with a network of suppliers
Team management experience including overseeing, training, coaching and performance management
Ability to cope with stress and capability to take quick decision in a constant changing environment
Strategic vision of international mobility issues and good business acumen
Autonomous, creative, focused on achieving solutions
