The opportunity

Systems administration. Cloud administration. Driven learner.

We are seeking an Infrastructure Analyst to join our growing team in Infrastructure Operations. As a member of this highly technical group, you will plan, implement and provide ongoing support and maintenance of the systems and cloud enterprise infrastructure.

In this fast-paced environment, you will look to the newest technologies to help identify innovative solutions to improve services in a cost effective manner.

If you possess a strong knowledge of a wide range of IT Infrastructure technologies including cloud computing, Microsoft server operating systems, Enterprise backup and continuity, and technology automation, we want to hear from you!

Specific Accountabilities

  • Provide support for existing infrastructure systems and services.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through automation techniques.
  • Perform diagnosis of operating system issues using integrated diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on new IS solutions, services and processes.
  • Assist in the development of operational guidelines and procedures for the support of server hardware systems, server operating systems and network infrastructure.
  • Execute the testing, implementation, and coordination required for successful project delivery.
  • May be required to provide on-call after-hours operational support for critical infrastructure services as required.

Skills and competencies that will take you further

  • Strong familiarity with the industry trends in technology and ability to apply them where appropriate.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for maintaining an IT infrastructure with a focus on availability and reliability.
  • Ability to use critical judgement to make decisions and solve problems involving various levels of complexity, ambiguity and risk.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to effectively prioritize.
  • Good analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing vendors towards service and / or contractual commitments.
  • Focused drive to learn, innovate and improve.

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or related technology field.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in supporting a highly available, medium to large enterprise production environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of medium to large enterprise configurations and design for systems and public cloud service offerings.
  • In-depth knowledge of :
  • Windows and Linux Server platforms
  • Server virtualization
  • Cloud virtualization technologies
  • Automation platforms
  • Enterprise monitoring systems
  • Enterprise backup systems
  • MS Teams
