We are expanding and seeking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and caring Taekwondo Instructor / HP Team Coach. Your primary duty will be to supervise and instruct students at all levels of Taekwondo and also to coach High-Performance Competitive Taekwondo Team.

We are expanding and seeking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and caring Taekwondo Instructor. Your primary duty will be to supervise and instruct students at all levels of Taekwondo.
To be successful as an Instructor / Coach, you should be ready to assist the lead instructor with the physical, technical, and emotional development of our students.
You must have strong communication skills, be knowledgeable in Taekwondo and educational techniques, and be passionate about the success of your students.
You must also be prepared to become a positive role model for our students both inside and outside the school.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Foster a positive learning environment
- Demonstrate and instruct athletic or sports activities to individuals and groups
- Teach fundamental and advanced techniques to students in accordance with the Niagara Taekwondo's curriculum
- Assist with developing lesson plans and learning goals based on Niagara Taekwondo's curriculum with the lead instructor including creating syllabuses
- Monitor student progress and identify areas of excellence and / or concern
- Enforce safety rules and regulations
- Ensure training area and all equipment is clean and safe
- Assist with planning and delivery of club events such as camps, tournaments, and field trips
- Coach and / or assist students and staff at tournaments as required
- Maintain a clean and respectable self-image
- Mentor junior instructors with techniques and building skills
- Counsel parents and students on individual performance
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback on performance and curriculum appropriateness to training director
Qualifications and Skills
- 2nd Degree WT Black Belt or above (must provide Kukkiwon Certification)
- Must possess NCCP Certification in Taekwondo (Assistant Instructor or higher)
- 5 Years of experience as Taekwondo Instructor
- Must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada or possess a valid working permit
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Comfortable teaching students of all ages in small and large group settings
- An understanding and caring attitude and a strong desire to make a difference
- First Aid (including CPR) certified, or the ability to become certified
- Must provide criminal record check including Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
