Our client is seeking a Brand Strategy & Product Owner with robust e-commerce expertise to bolster the rapidly evolving organization.

In this role, the Product Owner will spearhead product development, performance optimization, analytics, and content implementation for Canadian websites.

The primary responsibility will be to drive growth across customer conversion, revenue, acquisition, and satisfaction. This position also offers the chance to craft and execute a strategic roadmap aligned with our business vision, market dynamics, customer feedback, and travel industry analytics.

Key Responsibilities

You will :

  • Develop and execute a brand strategy tailored for the Canadian market, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Establish and maintain training systems to enhance organizational capabilities.
  • Analyze internal and external data to derive data-driven insights, offering strategic recommendations for business, product development, and marketing initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and serve as the subject matter expert for Canadian consumer needs.
  • Advocate for prioritizing initiatives that drive market penetration in Canada.
  • Oversee management of French website content, conduct regular checks, and collaborate with translation vendors.
  • Spearhead innovation and evaluate new product opportunities within the brand or related areas.
  • Engage with internal and external partners / customers to drive new product development.
  • Influence the development life cycle from conception to launch, ensuring thorough testing and meeting acceptance criteria.
  • Measure post-launch success against business projections and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.

Brand Maintenance Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with and guide daily operations for technology, marketing & PR, air fares, operations, supplier relations, and finance teams to align with business and product goals.
  • Monitor and optimize site performance using various metrics and tools like Google Analytics, PowerBI, and server reports.
  • Conduct regular competitive price analyses across marketing channels in Canada.
  • Identify and address threats and bugs, collaborating with relevant departments to troubleshoot solutions.
  • Provide insights and suggestions to the marketing team on source performance, newsletter content, and new opportunities.
  • Ensure overall site quality and content integrity, including content from airlines.
  • Work with legal on compliance issues and new / existing site features.
  • Report brand status updates to key stakeholders

Qualifications / Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on product leadership experience encompassing strategy, analysis, and day-to-day ownership.
  • MBA or related Master's degree.
  • Strong ability to balance hands-on work with a strategic mindset.
  • Proven e-commerce expertise in the Canadian online travel industry.
  • Fluency in French.
  • Experience in managing diverse audience segments and developing strategic product plans.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across various teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, synthesize, and analyze data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Track record of coordinating multiple activities with different stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Agile principles and methodology.
