In a typical day, YOU will :
- Develop the ability to demonstrate and describe product features related to safety / productivity and daily service, working closely with the sales department scheduling with the customer.
- Develop training content according to established Caterpillar standards.
- Travel regularly to multiple branch locations and customer worksites. Between assignments, the trainer can prepare and research from the nearest branch or from their residence if it is suitable for office work.
- Deliver Orientation training material during product delivery to operators and / or owners of new machines employing various multimedia material.
- Toromont Trainers are ambassadors of good practices and therefore must behave in an exemplary manner, particularly in terms of customer relations and Health and Safety at work.
Must-haves for this role :
- Able to apply existing operator experience to different machine product types and new applications
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience as an operator is preferred
- A variety of industry experiences along with Common Core is a plus
- Ability to lead proactively under challenging situations
- Ability to travel and open to new experiences
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Passport
- High school diploma
- Communication skills are essential. In order to convey knowledge, the Operator trainer must be attentive and focused on the group.
Motivated and autonomous, candidates must work professionally with a minimum of supervision.
Candidates should be comfortable using office software such as PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Video conferencing, etc.
It is an asset for the candidates to be proficient in both French and English.
