Job Description :
The General Manager -Sales and Business Development is a dynamic leadership role, the incumbent will be the driving force behind the company'
s commercial efforts, developing a strong brand presence and leading business growth and profitability in the assigned country.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop a comprehensive business development strategy through market analysis, strategic entry planning and business model formulation.
- Establish and enhance the company's local footprint, including setting up an office, key staff hiring, and a high-performing local team formation.
- Plan and organize resources, implement action plans to drive volumes & profitability in line with the strategies.
- Navigate legal and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with local laws, international standards and best practices
- Build and maintain relationships with local government entities, business partners, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance business opportunities.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and meeting profitability objectives.
- Act as the company's primary representative in the country, serving as the key spokesperson and brand ambassador to elevate our corporate identity.
- Foster a company culture that reflects our core values and motivates the team towards performance excellence.
- Provide regular reports to the board of directors providing insights on operational progress, encountered challenges, and potential strategic initiatives for growth.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience from similar industry of 12 to 15 years with at least 10+ years of leadership role in business development with a track record of successful market entry and capitalizing
- on business opportunities.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and profitability optimization.
- Strong understanding of business functions such as Finance, Marketing, Operations and HR.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills to inspire and mobilize diverse teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, willingness to travel and adapt to new environments.
- Local and International business laws and compliance
