- Évalue les élèves handicapés ou en difficulté d'adaptation dans le cadre de la détermination d'un plan d'intervention en application de la Loi sur l'Instruction publique et de la politique en éducation spéciale;
- Met en oeuvre des interventions professionnelles à la suite de résultats d'une évaluation professionnelle;Cible les interventions qui auront pour but de développer, restaurer ou maintenir la capacité à communiquer des élèves ciblés;
- Favorise l'automomie langagière et l'intégration des élèves ciblés à différentes activités scolaires, familiales et sociales;
- À tire de rôle conseil, il collabore avec tous les intervenants du primaire (direction,enseignants,éducateurs,personnel non-enseignants);
- Guide les interventions (éducateurs et enseigants) et les moyens à mettre en place et à utiliser dans le soutien à l'élève ayant des difficultés langagières;
- Collabore à la réalisation et à l'évaluation de plans d'intervention;Assure une collaboration école-famille-communauté;Assure la confidentialité et le respect du respect professionnel dans tous les démarches;
- Respecte les règles contenues au Code de déantologie des orthophonistes;
