Job Title : Estimator

Reports To : Branch Manager

Job Summary

The Estimator is responsible for gathering and analyzing information related to hollow metal, hardware, wood doors, specialties, and other products from architectural drawings in order to prepare accurate quotations and pricing.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Pursue the lowest possible cost while maintaining quality standards
• Request and review quotations from vendors
• Provide detailed product lists and estimates using architectural drawings
• Perform quantity take-offs, price quantities, and prepare formal quotations for general contractors bidding on projects
• Maintain up-to-date supplier price lists
• Assist with purchasing, shipment tracking, and staging when required
• Use computer programs and estimating software to prepare quotes
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with contractors and customers
• Demonstrate extensive product knowledge to recommend appropriate solutions to customers
