Cleaner

Compensation : $18.50 per hour Shift : Day

Job Summary :

To provide the day-to-day general cleaning of the following facilities, washrooms, locker rooms, office, cafeterias, boardrooms and Executive offices.

Responsibilities :

• Clean offices, washrooms, locker rooms, office, cafeterias, boardrooms and Executive offices
• Vacuum, clean : toilets, sinks, countertops and tables, restock supplies, wash and dry mop floors and dust offices
• Remove garbage, cardboard, and secure paper recycling
• Restock supplies in lunchrooms and servery – cups, creamers, napkins, coffee, sugar, and tea
• Clean glass doors and turnstiles as required
• Report any environmental or health and safety issues when required
• Complete additional daily tasks as assigned by Supervisor or designate
• Clean plant when required
• Escort visitors when required
• Provide backup for vacations of other Facility Staff
• Perform work with a strong bias for team effort at all times
• Maintain a high degree of flexibility and be approachable
• Additional responsibilities may include as needed : “Smock Duty” – Northern Uniform – File, record, and follow up ordered smocks for new hires, existing, and exiting employees on a weekly basisPoint of contact for Northern UniformReview invoices received from Northern Uniform for correctness and forward to Accounts payable for paymentOrder kitchen and cleaning suppliesComply with G+D Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures and report any Environmental, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate supervisor / manager. Management will ensure employees are provided with job specific Environmental, Health & Safety information, training and also ensure employees follow workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.
