The Manager, Oracle Health Practice, is directly accountable for managing Healthtech consultants and supporting the strategy and direction of Healthtech’s service lines focused on exceptional project delivery and delivery oversight. This is achieved through monitoring, supporting activities and direction and coaching. The Manager is accountable for ensuring consultants are effective, efficient, and profitable in relation to client delivery. The Manager, Oracle Health Practice, ensures the success of projects, serving as the key business line liaison to both clients and consultants, monitoring the progress and success of the project, providing oversight, education and guidance, and performing client-facing work as needed.
The Role
Provide consulting services to clients on healthcare enabling technology related projects in a leadership, project management, analyst, subject matter expert or training capacity. Work directly with the Practice Director and Consulting Services team to enable sales opportunities, support solution development, and provide exceptional on-site solution delivery based upon the needs of Healthtech clients.
Key Responsibilities
The Manager, Oracle Health Practice, will be responsible for, but not be limited to :
Work with client and internal teams to help create the solution that best fits the client needs. This includes implementation strategy, staffing, and project planning.
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead projects with a goal of delivering on time, on budget, and with great outcomes
- Monitor overarching project health; identify, mitigate, or escalate issues as needed
- Define, manage, and adhere to project scope
- Use, update, and customize client and Healthtech-provided tools throughout project life cycle
- Create polished project deliverables and communications
- Present with confidence and well-polished demeanor; facilitate executive-level meetings
- Manage meetings effectively; prepare agendas and goals, take notes, track follow ups
- Produce regular status reports; perform project close, lessons learned, and knowledge transfer
- Develop case studies and gather quotes that can be used in the sales process
Consulting Services
Performing healthcare enabling technology related consulting for Healthtech clients.Lead Healthtech projects as appropriate applying the skills and qualifications outlined in the Project Lead role description.Applying technical expertise to individual client system build in order to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems.Apply management consulting expertise to lead and guide healthcare enabling technology projects including but not limited to IMIT strategic planning; total cost of ownership and system planning.Mentoring Healthtech consultants and client project teams as necessary in project planning and delivery.Tracking and documenting risks and issues.Analyzing and documenting workflows.Working closely with project leadership, including documentation and facilitation.Working directly with health system end-users; monitoring workflows, providing documentation, and optimization suggestions.Conduct stakeholder interviews, complete gap analysis and recommendations and contribute to the development of a summary report to be presented to the client as required.Leading meetings regarding project status and on-going work-product coordinationWorking with the Healthtech Team on supporting sales enablement and business development activities, which may include identification of additional client opportunities, onsite presentations, and supporting proposal creation.Additional specific duties related to the project as may be required and dictated by individual clients. These duties are documented on a per-contract basis in the client’s Statement of work.May be invited to attend corporate functions as a representative of the company to meet prospective consultants, as well as solidify relationships with client and Healthtech co-workers.Working / leading Healthtech projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requestedSales Enablement & Solutions Development
Support the creation of Healthtech solution materials, such as toolkit documentation and proposalsDiscuss client needs with Implementation Services leadership for new solution creationShare lessons learned and best practices with the Implementation Services team and help improve our solutions, tools, and recommendations based on learningsServe as lead advisor or project management consultant resource for client opportunities; work with Implementation Services leadership to build sales presentations and collateral and present to clientServe as a thought leader for the service line, creating webcasts, podcasts, white papers, and blog posts to educate prospective and existing clientsWork on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requestedSkills And Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceOracle Health certification preferred, but not requiredPMP Certification, preferred7+ years Oracle Health project management experience requiredStrong customer service attitude and skillsetSelf-starter with ability to meet deadlines and monitor one’s own work productProven ability to thrive in and foster an existing team-oriented culture rooted in respect, high ethics and integrity, teamwork, camaraderie, collaboration, and effective communicationSolution-oriented; skilled in grasping the essentials in complex situations, anticipating client needs, and conceptualizing both problems and solutionsExperience in sales or presenting to large groups or key stakeholders preferredSolid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and ExcelAdditional details :
Work will primarily be performed at client locations, some of which may be in hospitals and medical clinics over which Healthtech no direct control.Additional work to be performed in a professional office environment and / or remotelyAbility to travel 60% of the time and to accommodate up to 100% for certain assignments.Position works a non-traditional schedule; work may be needed on weekends or eveningsAssignment requires on-site attendance all or part of the time they are actively working. Some work locations are not located in the city in which the consultant lives; this normally requires staying in hotels or other lodgings.Some assignments may allow remote work. This allows the employee to work from home or other locations of their choosing.Position may require extensive travel via various modes of transportation.Some work assignments may require longer work hours, different or additional days, or on-call on a varying schedule not determined by Healthtech.Consultant assignments may necessitate travel outside of scheduled work hours (e.g. flying on weekends or evenings). There may also be the possibility of travel interruptions which may affect the Consultant.Must be available for calls, emails, and consults regularly and outside of scheduled work hours to support the client and communicate with home office as necessary. This involves checking email, or voicemail on a regular basis throughout the day to respond to client or Healthtech matters.If a go-live occurs while on a project with a client, extensive hours will more than likely be required. While go-live events do not occur on every project or with high frequency, if a consultant accepts a project that requires go-live participation, they will be expected to meet the time requirements of the assignment. Must be able to unequivocally commit to working nights and weekends, be on-call, and immediately responsive to client needs during the event.
