Merchandiser - Northern Alberta
We are currently seeking a merchandiser based in Edmonton to represent all Organigram brands in retail cannabis locations in Alberta through consumer intercept (pop up) activations.
This role will cover brand activations in Edmonton and Northern Alberta retail locations.
The main objective of this position is to increase brand awareness with both retail staff & end consumers, through education sessions, handing out of swag and brand materials as well as submitting feedback to the internal Organigram team.
This position will report into the Provincial Sales Manager, Prairies, and will work closely with the Field Sales Representative team in the Calgary and Edmonton markets to prioritize store lists for activations as well as key objectives to achieve within each location.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn and build expertise on the Organigram portfolio of brands through scheduled training sessions and ongoing learning
- Conduct in store consumer intercepts (pop ups) at peak hours.
- Conduct budtender education sessions, as directed by Field Sales Representative team
- Support national account stores through detailing, education and ongoing activations as directed by the Key Account team
- Answer product related questions from budtenders and consumers
- Manage brand swag material and distribute in retail locations as permitted by AGLC guidelines
- Engage with consumers at retail and submit feedback on Organigram brands and competitive activity
- Ensure accurate records for contact management & route planning
- Work independently while covering large geographical area
REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service and / or brand ambassador type role
- Knowledge of cannabis market and trends considered an asset as well as knowledge of sales and marketing principles
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Punctual and able to follow a route plan / store schedule
- Ability to work Tuesday-Saturday full time hours
- Valid drivers license and vehicle required (travel regionally within Alberta)
- Submit to and pass a criminal background check (per AGLC requirements)
