Travel MRI Technologist Position Atlanta
Contract Duration : October 21, 2024, to January 18, 2025
Shift : 8-hour days
Compensation : Up to $2,400 per week
Note : This opportunity is not available to local candidates within a 50-mile radius.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in MRI technology
- BLS certification required
- ARRT Certification MRI required
Primary Responsibilities :
1. Review physician orders and retrieve relevant medical information to determine the exam’s purpose.
2. Screen patients for contraindications before entering the magnetic field.
3. Explain procedures to patients, administer intravenous contrast as needed, select appropriate pads and coils, and position patients.
Assist physicians with biopsy and aspiration procedures, maintaining sterile technique. Prepare sterile trays with required supplies and instruments.
4. Choose the desired protocol and log the factors used.
5. Examine images after the initial sequence and determine location parameters for the next scan.
6. Organize images, film exams, and transfer data to the PACS system.
7. Enter patient charges into the computer system.
8. Perform minor maintenance and repairs on MRI equipment, referring major issues to the Lead MRI Technologist, Supervisor, or Imaging Manager.
9. Assist in training and orienting new personnel.
10. Adhere to safety protocols in line with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately report any mechanical or electrical malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or injuries to the Manager.
