Compiles results and communicates learner performance and recordings / materials to end users.- Configures the system to support RFHS usage of software for virtual interactions.- Conducts initial troubleshooting of specialized audio / video software; Provides application support based on discussion with the Simulation Software vendor. Refers more complex issues related to server access to the internal IT department.- Works with both Microsoft and Apple Operating Systems, and apps / software from a diverse range of vendors.- Sets up and tears down simulation equipment, props, supplies, etc.- Sets up debriefing, learner, and staff areas.- Provides input and sets up stations to support students and learners needing accommodations in scenarios.- Sets up, configures, and controls cameras, pagers, recorders, and video routing for the main control room, observation area, debriefing rooms, and individual rooms.- Sets up simulation locations, simulators, scenario props, supplies, and equipment to support the clinical and skill objectives and specifications identified by instructional staff.- Sets up and troubleshoots virtual reality simulators. Accesses training programs and scenarios within virtual reality simulators for learner use.- Powers on laptop and desktop computers. Navigates through the Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. Conducts basic troubleshooting of computer hardware and general office software. Refers more complex issues to IT specialists and follows up to resolve issues in a timely manner.- Assists users in identifying equipment and supplies required for their program delivery. Makes recommendations as to the appropriate use of simulation resources as well as options available to support meeting their learning objectives; ensures that session set up requirements are documented for future sessions.- Provides support to end users and conducts initial troubleshooting of specialized audio / video systems; referring to the vendor and or university IST staff for assistance / resolution as needed.- Provides software access to authorized faculty and learners to video recordings in line with CLSP video recording and release policy and procedures.- Provides software access to authorized faculty and staff to utilize features of the learning and management platform for their courses.- Interacts with faculty and support staff to promote uptake and wider use of the Exam AV system capabilities.- Completes / reports all incidents that occur in the learning environment.- Provides technical recommendations for simulation and equipment / software improvement.- Confirms or declines events in line with booking requests.- Responsible for the general cleanliness of the CLSP facilities. Reports significant concerns to caretaking and or Operations Lead.- Performs other general administration tasks such as emails, document preparation.- Provides support to the Standardized Patient coordinator on matters of hiring, staff file management, processing applications, etc.- Provides support to the Purchasing Coordinator.- Enters purchase requisitions as instructed, sorts consumable donations, prepares write-off forms, etc.- Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and arranges for repair; Liaises with the Purchasing Coordinator to transport equipment for repair by sources outside the unit.- Participates in technical training as necessary; attends sessions, courses, or conferences to stay current with simulation technology.- Assists in the research of purchasing options for lab equipment and : MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION / TRAINING : - Completion of a Community College course in a related discipline is required.- Administrative training and or certificate required. EXPERIENCE : - One year of directly related experience is required.- 2-3 years experience in an academic and clinical training environment preferred.- Experience supporting learners in an exam or high-stakes type of scenario required.- Experience in a fast-paced environment is required.- Demonstrated history of computer and technology skills, and ongoing learning required.- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, ability to learn new operating systems required.- Intermediate computer and technological skills (understanding basic network setups / structures, providing software support to users, following troubleshooting frameworks, working with IT professionals to relay issues and implement troubleshooting directions, familiarity with AV equipment, comfort navigating databases and web-based apps) required.- Past purchasing experience as an asset.- Past IT and AV experience is an asset.- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
