Journeyman

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman to join our team in Vaughan for the morning shift. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment and systems to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate tools and equipment to install, maintain, and repair machinery, electrical systems, or HVAC components based on your trade qualification.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to prioritize tasks and meet production schedules.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation, including work orders, maintenance reports, and safety logs.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) in your trade (e.g., Millwright 433A, Electrician 309A, Refrigeration Mechanic 313A).
• Minimum of 3 years’ journeyman experience in a commercial or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs and work comfortably in various conditions, including indoor and outdoor environments.
• Proficient in reading technical documents and using digital tools for reporting.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
