Hello! My name is Valerie and my bird's name is Daisy, she is a female blue Quaker parrot. I do weekend travel for work very often.
I usually leave my bird with my mother in Toronto, but the long travel in a carrying case stresses Daisy out sometimes so I am looking to try out a pet sitter here.
If it works out, I'd love to have you return! Daisy is a shy bird, she can be noisy as all birds are, she is quite scared of new things and people.
But I do not need much for her, I will need her water refreshed, food (pellets) refilled and some fresh fruit / veggies given to her daily.
The feeding tasks should not take longer than 15 minutes. Aside from that, I would love to have you stay in the room with Daisy for minimum an hour daily just to give her some human interaction (she can get lonely!).
You can be on your phone, do some of your own work, take a nap, anything! Overall, it's no more than a 2 hour visit to my apartment daily while I am away.
