MFM Limited Partnership is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for the position of Automotive Service Technician (AST) / Light Duty Mechanic to join our operation at Kearl Lake.
MFM Limited Partnership, a Mikisew Group company, provides comprehensive Client services in vehicle inspection and light duty repair services.
Schedule : 14 days on, 14 days off, 11.50 hours per day. Work is conducted under an Hours of Work Averaging Arrangement (HWAA) formerly known as a Compressed Work Week.
Work Location : Position will be based at the Kearl Lake facility, located North of Fort McMurray, AB.
This is a Fly In / Fly Out opportunity with camp / accommodations provided . Flights provided from the hub centers of Edmonton, AB and / or Calgary, AB with direct flights to site.
Workers are responsible for travel to / from the travel hubs and their residence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform repair work and routine maintenance on light duty vehicles and equipment.
- Check light duty equipment such as light duty trucks, vans, cars and support equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
- Adjust, repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
- Complete service reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician (AST).
- Light Duty Technician Certification Red Seal Certification preferred.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License.
- First Aid Certification required.
- 5 years’ experience working in a light duty automotive facility servicing light vehicles and support equipment.
- Successful candidates are responsible for providing their own general tools. A tool allowance is provided as part of the compensation package.
