Project Accountant

About the Opportunity

• Setting up jobs and budgets in software
• Setting up change orders
• Overseeing all Accounts Payable duties
• Ensure monthly billing is correct and accurate and recorded in the other entity
• Set up transfers or payments between all the entitie
• Approve payments at the end of month
• Banking : Manage daily banking activities and ensure accuracy in transactions.
• Reporting : Prepare accurate financial reports to support decision-making.
• Draw Processing : Assist with project draws, ensuring timely payments to contractors as projects progress.
• Reconciliations : Perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial records.
• Period-End Close : Independently manage and complete period-end close processes.
• Accounts Payable (A / P) : Process invoices (up to 100 during peak periods), ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
• Billing to owner
• Providing reporting and cash flow reporting monthly to finance and construction teams
• Recording TI’s and construction costs in our other companies
• Other duties as required

About You

• Minimum 2 years of Project Accounting Experience is required
• Experience with Accounts Payable and billings
• Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, vlookups) is mandatory
• Construction / Project Accounting Experience is a must
• Experience with Draws / lien rights / bonds regarding projects would be an asset
• Experience processing payroll is highly favoured
• Experience with Sage300 or Yardi would be favoured

Salary Range

$75,000 - $85,000 / year
