NOTE : Hybrid work model, 1 day / week in Montreal office, 8 hours / day, 40 hours / week

TYPE : 3 Month Contract (strong possibility of extension)

DESCRIPTION :

Seeking a Bilingual SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with strong skills in Python and SQL for a hybrid contract role. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products by developing and executing automated tests, validating data, and collaborating with team members and stakeholders to resolve issues.

Responsibilities :

Write and maintain test plans for various product features.
Plan, build, and execute automated test scripts.
Implement and maintain an automated regression test suite.
Analyze user needs to plan testing and quality assurance requirements. Identify quality issues and create detailed test reports.
Review software bug reports and highlight problem areas.
Validate data from source to target, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (architects, developers, etc.) and external stakeholders as needed to resolve issues.

Qualifications :

Bilingual – Fluent in French and English.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field.

5+ years of experience in QA / SDET roles.

2+ years of Python development experience, including automating test scripts.

5+ years of experience with SQL queries, T-SQL development, and SQL stored procedures.

Strong experience in validating data from source to target.

Proficiency with Git, JIRA , and Confluence .

Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Skills : Technical Skills :

Python (2+ years of development experience)

SQL, T-SQL, SQL stored procedures (5+ years)

Automated test script creation

Data validation from source to target

Soft Skills :

Bilingual – Fluent in French and English Strong attention to detail

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently and collaboratively
