SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Aircraft surface preparation, including masking, sanding, and cleaning;
- Application of anti-corrosive treatment to aircraft surfaces;
- Application of primer to prepare surfaces for painting;
- Correction of imperfections on the aircraft body to ensure smooth surfaces;
- Spray painting of aircraft using appropriate techniques and equipment;
- Application of decorative elements such as decals and custom logos as per specifications;
- Touching up defects in paint, such as fisheyes, paint runs, or dust spots, to ensure a flawless finish;
- Conducting thorough inspections of aircraft paint surfaces for imperfections;
- Mixing paint according to specifications, ensuring correct color matching and consistency;
- Maintenance and cleaning of painting equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity;
- Adhering to safety regulations and guidelines when handling hazardous materials and operating painting equipment;
- Keeping detailed records of paint materials used, surfaces painted, and any issues encountered during the painting process;
- Collaborating with team members, such as aircraft mechanics and engineers, to schedule painting tasks and ensure seamless workflow.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED :
- A minimum one (1) year of experience in aerospace painting preferred;
- Trade certification in painting preferred;
- DEP in bodywork or AEP in industrial painting, or 5 years of experience in aerospace or bodywork field.;
- Proficiency in using painting tools and equipment;
- Attention to detail and ability to identify and correct imperfections in paint finishes;
- Stronh problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues related to paint application and equipment malfunction;
- Ability to work in a demanding environment, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined spaces;
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide updates on work progress;.
- Knowledge of specialized painting techniques for different aircraft materials;
- Willingness to undergo additional training or certifications as required by the employer or regulatory agencies.
